We recently had the chance to meet the almighty Warhawkz and his co-leader Lunai to talk about their famous clan Comitatus of Pactum. There's not much to say this time, I think the interview will reveal anything you guys always wanted to know.

I honestly approached this with an open mind, knowing I was about to talk to a newly formed guild. However, I cannot find reason to back off my open stance against people forming guilds and trying to lead players into a FFA world, with no actual prior FFA experience. I applaud the initiative, but see no foundation for this clan to build on.

Today, PaleOne announced to the Darkfall community that his clan Redemption would join Savage Alliance in the preparation of the Big Burning.

The message from PaleOne to the Darkfall Community:

In pursuit of the Fire Dragon's wishes, Redemption's Dragonbound Orcs and Longclaw Mahirim Have agreed to work alongside the Savage Alliance in preparing Agon for the Big Burning.

Redemption and the founders of the Savage Alliance share a common Lore Viewpoint and Goal.

To Conquer Agon in the Fire Dragon's name and to see to it that the combined strength of the Tribelands and Morak rules Agon with an Iron fist.

Neither Redemption, nor the SA plans to harm our brethren Mahirim or Orks, provided that mutual respect is returned. Traitors to the fire dragon who harbour the lesser beings will not be spared.

This interview is a bit special, like always TK asked some good questions about the clan history and philosophy but this time it turned out to be a bashing fest on forums guilds and some zerg nut cupping alliance!

Final Thoughts from TK :

The honesty showed by Winterblades, coupled with their appreciation and respect of fellow gamers, even in regards to gamers they didn't care for as much, shows some quality and maturity. While I support stringent standards on recruiting, I do worry they may be to "closed doors" to prospective members, but things can change fast once release is upon us. Damn solid guild.

Clan Leadership Management

Today, I found an interesting topic made by Surly in the Clan discussion forum about Clan Leadership Philosophy.

Everyone knows that a strong and good leadership is very important to succeed in any video games and also to survive through many many years of gaming. The first things that comes to my mind when I talk about clans is family, its a place to have fun, to make friends and a place where we share the same goals and values. I for one think that sharing the same goals is the most important thing in a guild, after all we are all here to accomplish something, to have fun and fights for the goals of our clan and also our own goals. Being in good term with your leader and being able to have fun with him, and feels like he's part of us and not a distant figure of authority is the best leader that a clan could have in my opinion.

That being said, what type of leader are you? How do you deal with your own clan? Do you think maintaining the goals and values of the clan is the best to do or going with the flow of your newest members values and own goals would be better?

Here we are once again with our freshly new podcast with the famous PaleOne, leader of the clan Redemption!

TK did an awesome job with this interview and I hope you guys will really understand the philosophy behind Redemption. This clan seems to have a bright future for this game but who knows what will happen!

Streamlined leadership combined with plenty of chances for advancement really look good on Redemption. They are a conquest designed guild built around the game lore which offers a little of something for everyone, and is helped by them being a bit more of a "open recruiting" clan for prospects within standards.

Launch Date Announced for Darkfall Online!

Tasos announced earlier today the official release date for Darkfall, January 22nd 2009.

Most of us didn't expected 08 release anyway so I am happy with this news. Its a good sign that they are not rushing out the game and they are taking the time to make it almost perfect for release.

In this quote from Tasos, he said that EU server would be online before NA or at least that's the plan for now. So I am asking you today, will your clan stay on EU or move to NA servers once they are finally online?

Athens, Greece – December 5th, 2008 - Audio Visual Enterprises SA and Aventurine SA in a joint statement today announced that their highly anticipated MMORPG title Darkfall Online will launch across Europe on January 22nd, 2009. North American players are also welcome to participate in the European launch of Darkfall which will precede a North American launch.

More details to be announced as they become available.

We know that most of the serious clans out there want some good competition and they want a real challenge. After all, we have been waiting for this brutal PVP game for so long so we want some good fun and epic wars.

This name will basically reflect what you are as a clan, this name will be your tag, your pride and it should be something unique!

Thrill Kill did an excellent job and I am sure you guys will love it! Since its our first podcast a lots of things might change in the future but so far its looking good and you guys should love it.

Here's what TK think about UDA:

All in all, a solid clan. The leader is open about clan problems and misfortunes, as well as not being scared to talk about "controversial" issues that had occurred within his ranks. I don't get a strong sense of twitch based experience from them, but they do make up for it with harsh environment experience in MMOs.

Later today we found out something interesting about LoD. Since Hades seems to be bored playing WAR he found some times to trash talk in CD, which is kinda cool cause it give us more stuff to write about.

Take it to heart because whether we start DF on day 1 or a year after release, the end result will be the same for you chumps if you challenge us.

Oh god that's just too good to be true!!! Hades claimed that LoD doesn't have the skills to compete in Darkfall, lets see what LoD have to say about this !

Official MOA Seals of Approval!

We have made three different kinds of Seals of Approval.

We will only use them once TK his done interviewing your clan. He will have then the decision to pick one seal of Approval and stamp it at the end of your interview.

You can be stamp as a Carebear guild, Garbage guild or a GOOD one!

If you get this seal, you have no fucking clue in which game you are about to play. Little advice go back to your secure zone.

If you get this seal, your guild is a failure. You either lied to us or you just don't have the experience to lead your guild to the battle.

If you get this seal, you passed the interview. You gave us the truth and you can back up your facts. You should be able to walk your talk in Darkfall.

Hurry up! PM TK and ask him to get an interview!

LoD and LotD a long term rivalry.

Here a bit of history my friends:

LoD and LotD were previous allied guilds and kicked a lot of ass together. At various points each guild hit a low point, and helped each other along. However while waiting for Shadowbane some fansite poll came out listing LotD as one of the top feared guilds going into the game, and apparently that recognition bruised some egos over at LoD. A massive flame war ensued, and the two guilds have hated one another since. LotD went on to play on the Scorn server which was the most hard core server of the day, and birthed the nation that took down the most infamous nation in Shadowbane history (Rolling 30's). LoD went to the Death server and beat up n00b guilds, and no one gave a shit who was the last guild standing before that server went offline.

There's a lots of activity lately in CD to find out who will be the best once Darkfall start. No one can really tell but here a little preview of what's going from two different point of view.

[LoD]Dhal : LotD: word on the street is they will not be showing up in DF. surprised? lol

Hades-LotD : We're taking a wait and see approach. But hey, in the last 4 game's we've played against you guys we were at the top of the server/game food chain, and LOD barely managed to form a guild tag.

Why don't you step up and show some year to year consistency by doing well in game before you go taking pot shots. Exploiting ranking points in UO and putting a zerg together in SB is all you got since 1997, so be a little more consistent as a competitor in ANY MMORPG game before even thinking about running with the big dogs.

[LoD]Dhal : lol hades, this is a game that has full loot. show lod a game that's a "for all the marbles" standard and you might be surprised. bring it in df or stfu, once it's out it will be the only game that has mattered since uo/ac as far as MMO's are concerned period. lotd is fucking weaksauce (for lack of a better term that may offend you and score me another infraction) if you don't play, "waiting and see" sounds like "copout inc" imho.

We all know if LotD hit Darkfall for release we will see both clan fighting each others for the top.

Will LotD man up and play Darkfall?

Will LoD die in a massive orgie of blood and violence?

Will LotD crawl back to WAR because of LoD?

11-16-2008, OmegaVG announced that they will be playing Darkfall, since they are an AoC guild and never really played any real PVP games, they seems to be a real joke for the forumfall community. Well some members of VG are not so sure about that. One of them posted something along those lines : Another wait to beat down another server. /salute VG

Well after a little investigation a member of Forumfall found more info about the Vagina Guard...

Guess what? Hades himself just posted and confirmed that VG are a non-factor guild. Nothing special here since they came from AoC haha.

LotD went unofficial when Warhammer launched on Sept 15th, and we stopped playing AOC a week before that. Past Redemption did burn our battlekeep right before we left when hardly any of us was playing, but that has about as much significance saying someone burned our house down after we had moved out.

As of now LotD has no intention of playing Darkfall until its launched and we can see if its going to survive. After Shadowbane, AOC, and other PVP games or servers dying off in less than 6 months we're simply taking a wait and see approach before putting in a lot of time and effort here.

Either way this thread is outrageous, and you can ask LotD, Sinister, Combine, Darkhand, and several other guilds and they will all tell you that these guys were a non factor. If they are trying to intimidate anyone here on their AOC record, then they are in deep trouble before the game servers are ever booted up.

Like always there's a lots of smack talking in CD and everyone want to show and brag about what they did in the past. We had a lots of people from UO but now there's a massive amount of Shadowbane guilds who are getting ready for Darkfall. They always been there in the background...but recently they are very active in CD.
